Explainer video and mockup for an interactive film concept. The first video explains how interactivity might work with three different characters and the overall story structure. At specific points in the action, the viewer is able to select whose point of view (POV) they wish to view the action from. Eventually, they will experience all three main characters’ takes on the the action, which culminates in a transformed POV of the first character.
Here’s a mockup showing how the interactive video might look from the viewer’s perspective. The video “signals” to the viewer that another character’s POV is available by flashing on that character. If the viewer chooses, they can then tap on that character to switch to their perspective on the action. The second half of the video shows how each characters’ take on the action is playing simultaneously on different “tracks” which are synced in story time, so that the viewer can toggle through until they’ve experienced everyone’s take.
Here it is ported as a 360 video.
