A friend, who served as president of the Renton Municipal Arts Commission (RMAC), asked me to take on the role of RMAC President so that he could focus on the commission’s efforts to start a local arts space.
I agreed and spent the next year wrangling with a bunch of artists in decision-by-committee hell. Meanwhile, he took over a local non-profit called Arts Unlimited and retooled it to drive the art-space effort, later recruiting me to serve on his organization’s board.
Part of retooling Arts Unlimited included rebranding for a new mission. One idea I had was to give the organization an edgier, more guerrilla-art identity, thinking this might help attract community interest/support. These are some logo ideas I came up with.
I animated two of the logos in After Effects – Click to view the animations.
